Interview Tips

  • Always arrive no more than five minutes early with a clean copy of your resume.
  • Attire: clean and ironed, no visible body piercing except ears, light cologne or perfume, skirts that hit the knee or pants that come to the top of shoe.
  • Always maintain eye contact and take notes.
  • Be prepared to answer specific questions about past experience.
  • Also, research company before interview and have a list of question for interviewer. This shows you are interested in the position and engaged in the conversation.
    • Why is the position open?
    • What do you expect from your employees?
    • Who are you main competitors, and what sets you apart from them?
    • What type of management style does the company have, and how often will you be getting feedback?
  • Tell them that you are very interested in their company, and feel that you would be an asset to their company and why.
  • Always make sure you get a business card and follow up the same day with an email or notecard thanking them for their time, and reiterate how you appreciate them considering you for the position.
